4 Types of Tea That Helpful Help the Body Fight Inflammation

You can also use powder matcha, finely ground green tea leaves, to be made into tea and consumed with milk according to taste.

Even though it is healthy for the body, consuming too much tea will have an impact on increasing your sugar levels. For people who want to drink green tea as a support to overcome inflammation, first consult with your doctor so that you can find out whether your condition is suitable or not.

2. Black tea

In addition to green tea, the type of tea that can help you deal with inflammation is black tea. Although derived from the same plant, black tea has been oxidized, ie the leaves are exposed to moist air and rich in oxygen.

As a result, the green leaves turn brownish black. Black tea also contains the same compounds as green tea, namely polyphenols.

Even so, drinking too much black tea can cause your blood pressure to rise temporarily.

3. Turmeric tea

According to a health dietitian, Krista Kohls, RD, CD, turmeric may help reduce cholesterol, itching, and osteoarthritis. However, there is still very little research to support this statement, so that its use must also be limited to certain people, such as:

  • For people with high cholesterol it is recommended to consume 1.4 grams of turmeric extract which has been divided in two doses every day for 3 months.
  • For osteoarthritis sufferers it is recommended to only consume 500 mg 2-4 times a day for 12 weeks.

Turmeric tea is generally consumed together with milk, so this golden yellow milk tea is referred to as golden milk. However, there are still other recipes that can make a mixture of turmeric and other herbs into traditional tea.

4. White tea

White tea is another variation of the famous green tea in China. Like green tea, white tea contains polyphenols in the form of catechins which have anti-inflammatory properties.

The content of antioxidants and anti-inflammation in polyphenols is useful to eradicate free radicals in the body.

Therefore, white tea is included in the type of tea that can help you cope with inflammation. Remember, consult your doctor first before drinking white tea regularly.

Basically, you are still encouraged to consult with your doctor before drinking tea regularly to overcome the inflammation problems you have. Moreover, if you have also taken medicines from a doctor and doubt the safety of the plant and spice content used.
