What is the Alclometasone medicine for?

Alclometasone is a medicine for treating various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rashes. Alclometasone can reduce swelling, itching, redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This drug is a low to moderate corticosteroid.

What are the rules for using Alclometasone?

Use alclometasone only on the skin. However, do not use on the face, groin, armpits or for diaper rashes, except with doctor's instructions.

Wash and dry hands before use. Clean and dry the area. Apply a thin layer of the drug to the area and rub it gently, usually 2-3 times a day or according to doctor's instructions. Do not wrap, cover or wrap the area except with doctor's instructions. If used close to the diaper area of ​​infants, do not use tight diapers or plastic pants.

After applying the medicine, wash your hands unless you use this medicine on your hands. When applying drugs near the eyes, avoid getting into the eyes because they can worsen or cause glaucoma. Also avoid drugs from the eyes, nose or mouth. If the drug is exposed to the area, rinse with water.

Use this medicine only for the intended condition. Do not use on children for more than 3 weeks in a row unless according to doctor's instructions. Tell your doctor if the condition does not improve or even worsen after 2 weeks.

How do you save Alclometasone?

This drug is best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Do not store in the bathroom. Don't freeze it. Other brands of this drug may have different storage rules. What side effects might occur due to Alclometasone?

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using the drug and immediately contact a doctor if you experience serious irritation or signs of absorbing topical alclometasone through the skin, such as:

  • Blurry vision, see halos around lights
  • Mood Change
  • Sleep disorders (insomnia)
  • Weight gain, swelling on the face
  • Muscle weakness, feeling tired.

Less serious side effects of alclometasone can include:

  • Mild, itchy, sore skin rashes
  • Skin depletion
  • Skin rashes or irritation around the mouth
  • Swelling of hair follicles
  • Skin discoloration
  • Blister, pimples or crust
  • Stretch marks.
