Azelastine is a medicine to relieve nasal symptoms, such as runny nose / itch / stuffiness, sneezing, and runny due to seasonal allergies and other allergic conditions. Azelastine is an antihistamine drug that works by blocking certain natural substances called histamine which cause allergic symptoms.
Follow the rules given to prepare the spray pump properly before using the bottle for the first time and if you have not used drugs for 3 days or more. Avoid spraying on the eyes or mouth.
Azelastine is used on the nose and is available in various strengths. Use 1 or 2 sprays on both nostrils, usually 1 or 2 times a day according to doctor's instructions. The dosage is based on your condition, the product you are using and the response to treatment. Use this medicine regularly to get the optimal benefits. To help you remember, use this medicine at the same time every day. This drug usually starts working within 3 hours of use.

This drug is best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Do not store in the bathroom. Don't freeze it. Other brands of this drug may have different storage rules. Observe the storage instructions on the product packaging or ask your pharmacist. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not flush medicine in the toilet or in the sewer unless instructed. Discard this product when it has expired or if it is no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company about how to safely dispose of your product.

Before using nasal azelastine, tell your doctor if you regularly use other drugs that cause drowsiness (such as cold or allergy medicines, narcotic painkillers, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers and medications for seizures, depression or anxiety). These drugs can aggravate drowsiness due to nasal azelastine.
Tell your doctor if you use cimetidine (Tagamet).

If you forget one dose of this medicine, use it as soon as possible. But when it is nearing the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to the usual dosage schedule. Do not double the dose.
