What drug Indapamide? – A-Z Medicine

Generic Name:

Natrilix SR and Aldapres.

What is Indapamide for?

Indapamide is a drug that is generally used to reduce high blood pressure. This drug is also used to reduce levels of salt and excess fluid in the body (edema) caused by heart problems (congestive heart failure). Decreasing blood sugar levels can prevent you from having a stroke, heart attack and kidney problems. Reducing excessive levels of salt and fluid in the body can reduce the swelling and respiratory problems caused by congestive heart failure and can increase your ability to exercise.

Indapamide is a diuretic drug that allows you to produce more amounts of urine. Removing excess water and salt can relax blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Easy blood flow can reduce blood pressure and reduce the work of the heart when pumping blood.
